DISASSOCIATION TOOL For Sports Performance!

What if you could send your mind somewhere else? Away from the pain, the emotion, and the turmoil of what you’re currently experiencing?

Running 5, 21, 50 or a 100 kms, lifting 50, 70, 100 kgs, or ready to step into the ring? You have a goal, you need to push yourself, break through your pain barrier, whether it be mental or physical.

What do you think about when you’re training, or in competition?  Without a doubt your thoughts, whatever they may be, have an impact on performance.

We have at least one thought EVERY 3 seconds.

When we disassociate like in this video (LOOK AT JAMIES EYES OR THE BOLT), we think about things unrelated to the task or the PAIN your body is currently experiencing. It is when we use these dissociative thoughts in the form of objects, people, or items in the environment, our mind enables us to reframe the pain thoughts we receive from our pain receptors!

Before long, the reps, competition or the sets are complete, all by using this disassociate method.

Practise staring at something whilst you’re cranking out the reps or preparing to go into competition, try to reframe the pain and focus on disengaging.

This tool and MUCH MUCH MORE will be discussed at the upcoming Invest in Your Head Sports Performance seminar on Wednesday 22nd of September.
